Product Description
Permatex's "Ultra Grey" silicone RTV gasket maker formulation features both enhanced oil resistance and added flexibility over standard RTV formulations. This combination makes it perfect for applications where it will see both continuous oil exposure and high torque between case halves: AWD angle gears, transmissions, and differentials.

Additional Technical Information
On newer engines found in FWD and AWD Volvos, special anaerobic sealant is used on the cast aluminum oil pans and valve covers/camshaft carriers. Do not use RTV when doing valve cover, cylinder head, or oil pan work, as RTV cures in a much thicker layer compared to the thin anaerobic sealant. Use Mahle, Elring, or Genuine Volvo anaerobic sealant instead.
