Gear Shifter Knob Button P2 V70 S60 XC70 with Geartronic (with metal pin)

 This is a replacement gear selector (shifter) button for models with Geartronic with the pin style button (automatic with manual up/down shift mode.)

Volvo does not sell the button separately and will sell you an expensive shifter assembly.

Just to complicate matters further, Volvo changed the style of the GearTronic shifter around 2004. The newer shifter has a metal pin in the button. The common failure is the plastic breaking and the pin falling out. We haven't been able to determine if all later models use the pin style button or if it's just some of them.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to tell which button is in the shifter until you pull the button out (see product images.)
