We often get calls from customers looking for an air guide, sometimes called the belly pan, splash pan, skid plate or lower engine cover.

Since many Volvos are missing this part, many people don't think they need one, but the guide plays an important role in maintaining the longevity of your Volvo’s powerplant. Volvo also suggests that the guide aids in cooling efficiency by forcing the airflow across the entire engine compartment. Not only does it help guide air through your radiator, it also keeps water, dirt, gravel, rocks, wood, road grime, and debris off critical engine components like the alternator and belts.

Check your Volvo to ensure that your splash pan is intact and in good working condition.

Product Fitment Notes & Potential Issues

There are two different styles of air guide used on 1994 models. This air guide fits 1994 models WITH a sunroof. If your 1994 850 does NOT have a sunroof this air guide will not fit.
