R Big Brake Conversion Kit - 240 Models

Volvo and safety have always gone hand in hand. Volvo brake systems have long followed this tradition. In fact, while Volvo has been using 4 wheel disc brakes as standard equipment on all their models for almost 40 years, some major manufacturers are still equipping their cars with drum brakes!

With that in mind, we're happy to offer our R brake conversion kit. 2004-2007 S60 & V70 R models were outfitted from the factory with high performance braking systems made by Brembo. Now you can have a matching front brake package on your 240.

With specially engineered brackets, this kit is a bolt on upgrade that will dramatically change the braking power of your 240. Not to mention how cool it looks under a nice set of alloys! Our big brake kit will truly transform the way your car stops.

Our kit consists of all parts needed to fully convert the front brakes to all new, top of the line Volvo performance specs. Comes with a pair of massive 330mm (13") brake rotors, replica R calipers with hardware, adapter brackets, Bosch brake pads, IPD stainless braided brake lines and a liter of Motul brake fluid.

NOTE: Install requires removal of the brake dust shields and minor modification of front brake hard lines. A minimum of 17 inch size wheel is required to clear these brakes. Depending on wheel design, spacers may also be required. Will fit under IPD Pegasus replica wheels just fine with no modification or spacers!

Additional Technical Information

Non-ABS 240s use a dual-circuit brake setup, with two lines going in to each caliper. Brake plugs 1387506 (included in kit) should be used at the junction block to block off one line per front corner. Use one plug on either side of the sensor in the junction block to maintain left/right system balance.
