Driveshaft Front CV Joint Kit - 19 Spline

On AWD Volvos, the propshaft running between the angle gear at the front of the car and the rear axle has CV joints at either end, allowing it to keep transmitting power smoothly even as the transmission and engine shift around under load.

Over time, however, we've found that the CV joint boot in the front (thanks to its proximity to the hot exhaust) can start to crack and tear, flinging the joint's grease out and eventually resulting in failure of the CV joint. Unable to flex, the propshaft then starts to click and vibrate under load.

Save yourself a costly new driveshaft and use this rebuild kit, containing a new CV joint, new boot, clamps, and grease.

Product Fitment Notes & Potential Issues

This joint is for a 19 spline shaft, with a 86mm (~3 3/8 in) joint o.d., with the joint normally stamped LJ75 on the side.

• 1998-2000 S70 & V70 models that have had the driveshaft replaced and the front CV joint unit is marked NTN
• 2005-2011 XC90 V8 models all
• 2007-2014 XC90 3.2 models all
• 2001-2003 V70 2.5T and 2.4T models through chassis number -285999
• 2001-2003 XC70 models through chassis number -94999
• 2002 S60 AWD models
• 2007-2008 S80 V8 models through chassis number -61093
