Product Description
Brake boosters use engine vacuum spread out over the a large surface area inside the booster to multiply pedal effort when you stomp on the brakes. There's a flexible membrane/diaphragm inside the brake booster that does this, and damage to this diaphragm can manifest as increased braking effort or a poor engine idle due to the resulting vacuum leak. A new brake booster is the answer.
