Polyurethane Transmission Torque Mount

Looking to upgrade your transmission torque mount but are on a budget? This version of our transmission torque mount comes with the same polyurethane bushings as our billet unit but without the handsome looks. 

Most front wheel drive and all wheel drive Volvos utilize a link style transmission mount installed between the transmission and the engine sub frame. This mount is designed to limit the amount of torque on the power train while accelerating. The mount has two bushings that have a history of failing prematurely. When the bushings fail, it allows the engine and transmission to shift under torque load. This causes stress on the other mounts and noticeably reducing shifting smoothness.

Application note: This product fits most FWD & AWD P80 & P2 based five cylinder models but does not fit AWD models prior to 2001.

Polyurethane transmits additional NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) compared to stock. If you want stock-style lower torque mounts, see Similar Products below.

Product Fitment Notes & Potential Issues

These polyurethane bushings are firmer than the stock-style rubber parts they replace and will transmit additional vibration. This is especially true if the other motor mounts and or transmission mounts are worn; if your lower engine mounts or upper engine mount are more than a year or two old, we suggest replacing them at the same time.

To ease installation, the black bushing nuts/bolts with this mount are only snugged down hand-tight. Once you have the subframe and transmission ends of the mount tightened down, remember to tighten the bushing bolts last.
