SS Oval Tube Catback Sport Exhaust / 2001-2007 V70 / 2001-2009 S60

The oval tubing concept comes straight out of NASCAR, where it’s used to provide maximum ground clearance and reduced wind drag. We went to great lengths to develop a system that has telescoping slip fit joints in key areas to allow the system to fit both sedan and wagon models. This helped us to reduce the cost as well as making resale of the systems in the future much more attractive.

The oval tubing used in our systems has an equivalent cross section of 3-1/8" diameter round tubing and offers excellent flow characteristics and the compact stainless rear muffler uses long life rock wool for a aggressive tone compared to systems we previously sold. This exhaust carries a tuned sound letting you know the exhaust has been modified. The sound is aggressive under load and heavy throttle, but not obnoxious when cruising. We’ve seen performance gains between 14-16hp.

Product Info Update: Non-R Fitment

At the urging of our customers IPD USA has put together a basic how to about fitting our exhaust on non R cars. It does require minimal trimming of the rear bumper and flipping the rear exhaust hangers -- nothing out of the reach of the average DIY-er. 

Ever since the launch of our IPD USA Oval Tube Sport Exhaust for Volvo R models we've had lots of inquiry about fitment on the non Volvo R models as well. While our kit was designed specifically for Volvo R models, it does indeed fit non Volvo R models with a little modification. The main issue is the rear bumper where the exhaust exits. Volvo R models all feature a cutout on the rear bumper for the larger exhaust tips used on them from the factory. Non Volvo R models weren't designed for this and as a result don't have the same large cutout in the back for the tailpipe of a system like ours.
