ipd Shipping Information

In May 2007 the United States Postal Service imposed new dimensional limits on packages.  The new limits mean that we can't ship large items like our sway bar kits and aluminum skid plates via Parcel Post any longer.

ipd ships worldwide using primarily uses:

  • UPS/United Parcel Service
  • USPS/United States Postal Service
  • BAX/Burlington Air eXpress (International pallet shipments)
  • Conway Freight (Domestic Pallet shipments)

ipd's website pulls real-time shipping quotes from UPS and USPS.

For larger pallet sized shipments (300 pounds or more) we generally use Conway for domestic and BAX for International shipments. You will need to contact us for quotes on these larger orders.

Northwest: (Northern California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho). UPS ground service normally runs 1 to 2 business days for delivery. The closer to Portland, the less time. It is best to not choose any Air Service methods since most shippers use hub cities and your package(s) end up going to the East-Central part of the country to return back. Please call for other options, if needed.

Continental US: Most parts of the country are served by UPS ground service in less than 7 business days (depending on time of year i.e. Christmas; or extreme weather conditions). Destinations within New York City generally take 8 business days.  Postal service offers the advantage of no extra charge for Saturday delivery, which can sometimes make an important difference. Postal shipments have a weight limit of 70 lbs. UPS next day and second day services can be used to get you out of a jam, or simply gratify that fix-it/improve-it urge more quickly. If you prefer

Alaska & Hawaii: We can ship via UPS using only next day and second day services. USPS is always available; allow 2-5 days to Hawaii and 3-6 days to Alaska, not including Sundays. If you prefer Postal delivery over UPS, please place your order by phone or by fax.

Canada: Both UPS and the Postal Service are viable options. Many in Eastern Canada like the little bit quicker service of UPS (but there will always be brokerage, duties and taxes added, (no brokerage fee if UPS Express or Expedited services)). Size restrictions will sometimes force us to use UPS for large packages. Postal Service is most commonly chosen for deliveries, as long as size (108 inches, length & girth) and weight limits (70 lbs.) are met.   ipd is a UPS Non-Resident Importer in Canada. We have the ability to charge you Duties, Taxes and Brokerage fees up front when shipping via UPS which means you won't have a COD charge for duties when your package arrives.

Japan: UPS Worldwide Expedited offers 3-5 day delivery for a reasonable charge. Parcel Post (surface) usually takes 20-45 days for delivery and is the most affordable method. Air Parcel Post is takes 10-25 days. Postal weight limit is 40 pounds and 108 inches length & girth. Most of our customers in Japan who place large orders have been using BAX Global air freight service. Please contact us for a shipping quote for this service.

Europe and other countries: UPS Worldwide Expedited is your best option, but we can do Parcel Post also.

APO/FPO: The US Postal service is hard to beat for cost and delivery times. Unfortunately UPS delivery is not available for APO or FPO addresses so there may be some size limitations to APO addresses.
