Clean reliable transportation. This car was starting in the 0' weather a few weeks ago with out hesitation. Here's a list of recent maintenance done to fix worn out parts: lots of engine and transmission seals and gaskets to stop all the weeps, seeps and drips. a new water pump and thermostat overdrive relay exhaust fixes temperature gauge relay differential seals and oil fuel line repairs the timing belt is within spec and no change needed. There are no dents, the interior has no rips in the seats, a couple cracks in the dash, which is almost universal on 240's, all plastic trim and pockets are there and in good shape, all the electric windows, and lights work. The heater and fan work great. Mechanically the car is in fine shape, it starts, it stops, it shifts, it drives and the lights and wipers work. This would make a great first, second, college, winter or commuter car. The only negative points are the odometer stopped working a week before I got my new car...3 weeks ago, so the miles are only about 20 miles off actual. The repair for this is a plastic gear at the back of the gauge cluster and a few hours of your time, all the other dash gauges and lights work well. There is AC, but not sure if it's working...cold air blows, but it's been cold out, that and if you're nit picking there's a few surface spots of rust that are really minimal. 1983 242 GLT Turbo with 2000 Ford 5.0 V8 and reman T5 manual. Limited slip rear from volvo diesel, Converse conversion, crappy interior primarily the leather front seats and door panels and carpet. New suspension, brakes, cooling, and lots more. Pegasus R wheel replicas from ipd, poly bushings, lots of new stuff, $15 k invested but still needs interior and has the original paint that is pretty much shot. The car runs and drives well. Some minor mechanical issues like the custom exhaust is vibrating against the bell housing and either the clutch cable or the throw out bearing is clattering around a bit. Anyway, i will tell you everything I can about the car. It is wicked fun to drive and with a paint job and interior redo it would look smokin. Very, very minor rust. Car was originally from Va and Ca. Im just done messing with it and want to move on to an Alpha or a 911 or Triumph or something else. Im looking for around $7k just to move on. Up for sale is my beloved 00' Volvo V70R wagon. The wagon have a lot of attention and well kept. The wagon runs fast and strong. The wagon is very clean and handles like on rail. Everything works on the wagon. I have done a lot since I've owned the wagon: Schedule maintenance, regular oil changed, new spark plugs, water pump, timing , transmission service. Also new A/C compressor and recharged, A/C blows cold! HID, IPD turbo control valve, K&N, Strut bar, muffler delete exhaust, new front/rear rotors and pads and the list goes on. The wagon sits on 17" Neptune wheels. I have receipts and original Sticker Window. Clean Title, body and paint is good... couple dings and scratches.For it's aged the paint is very good and very glossy. There is some clear coat faded on the door handles but still very nice. Just have 4 wheels alignment done and brand new correct hub centric rings for Neptune wheels. Drive really nice! There is only one thing needed: Shifting relay module sits next to trans case. The car drive good with all gears except 3rd gear it's kinda delay in engaging. I don't drive it in D but drive it in low gear and upshift as i go. This could be for someone who's want to do a 5 speed swap?? The car has 193k. I have a short video how the car drive. I am asking 3900 reasonable offer will entertain. 1981 242 DL Non Turbo- Purchased 2 years ago from original owner. Full History. Records and Odometer indicate low mileage under 70,000. I was using it as a daily driver for a year and a half. Exterior-New Tires, less than 5,000 miles wear, body is pretty clean a few minor dents (Less than1/4") on roof and trunk lid, repaint by previous owner in good shape, turned the original dull tan color into a more metalic gold color, dark window tint, missing one hubcap. Engine: Standard transmission is smoth, new IPD sport exhaust, new Brake Pump, new radiator, failing in-tank fuel pump, was running until parked last year, but dead battery preventing starting, requires a tuneup as it was idling rough when it at stops. Interior: Seats are faded with tear in seat of driver seat, door panels a little rattle some brittleness, dash has an IPD liner with a small crack at the defrost vent, ceiling liner is tight except in sun visor recess, working aftermarket radio and CD player, A/C Cold.
