Job Description

IPD offers a comprehensive line of Genuine, OE, OEM, exclusive, and aftermarket automotive parts through an intuitive website. Our Product Line Associates are resources for applications, sourcing, technical support documentation and strategic marketing plans for product listings. A familiarity across Volvo’s product line with the ability to recognize model faults and common issues from the customer perspective is crucial. Product Line Associates are able to address these issues by working with manufactures on product updates and quality improvements. Product Line Associates have the ability to work with a variety of automotive parts manufactures domestically and internationally while creating an avenue for IPD to support e-commerce automotive enthusiasts expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with the Volvo automotive enthusiast community via online forums. Create ways to increase product awareness and availability through enthusiast channels.
  • Provide technical support and insight to internal and external customers.
  • Enhance product listings related to common repairs and issues.
  • Resource OE products directly from original manufacturer or alternative sources.
  • Researches new brands and products.
  • Cross reference Genuine Part numbers to high quality aftermarket like items.
  • Communicate with product team regarding part update, pricing, images, and application data.
  • Provides detailed feedback to Web/Marketing team for improved navigation and website flow.
  • Work close with marketing teams to enhance social media content by creating and managing DIY tech tips, videos, and articles

Prerequisites

  • Volvo automotive knowledge background.
  • Automotive e-commerce experience preferred.
  • Flexibility while being able to wear multiple hats and work with various departments within the company.
  • Has the ability to diagnose, R&R general automotive parts. DIY is a must.
  • Familiar with OEM Volvo parts lookup/catalog or other technical publications needed to source and cross reference parts.
